Allen of the Dogsby ~KaiCarpenter

Here's a book cover I've been wanting to do, based on a story I've been thinking up - it's a hodge podge of influences and inspirations, most notably a plane type I like, a girl I know named Allen, and a pair of tacky but super cool red jeans shorts I saw recently.

Also wanting to work up some different and more diverse desert palettes, sort of going back a little bit to some of the stuff I was thinking about when I did Sir Gawain.

On another note, MY GOD I've never had such a hard time color correcting a painting I did. All the saturated high values are SO TRICKY TO GET TO MATCH DIGITALLY!!! Well, at any rate, I think this is probably as good as it can get, so THERE!

Next up is the layout of the cover with some titling and stuff.
