The Seeress
Got the detail bug last few weeks!

Sorry for the watermark, but I'm afraid it might be here to stay....SIIIGH....

If you want to see a smaller version of the piece without, head to my site - www.kaicarpenterart.com

Or, you can buy a print at my etsy shop!  www.etsy.com/shop/StudioWendig…

Hi, all -

I wanted to add this link, so you can see the "gallery" this man allegedly SOLD a print of my painting for!  Unbelievable!  Scroll down, see at left.

Yesterday, I wrote:  I am grudgingly putting watermarks on all of my images, because, just yesterday, a good Samaritan informed me that this charming, tiny little man, Jared DuCote (see this link: www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbi…  )  has been claiming others' art as his own for some time, and has even offered to "sell" said original work!  Amazing.

Please, if you consider artists' rights an important issue - and I bet that you do! -  share this, message him, do anything creative you can to make this....'individual'....feel the shame he ought to feel.  And Mr. DuCote, if you are reading this....I sure hope you've taken that post down."

Too bad you had to put watermarks on your painitngs. It doesn't do the hard work any justice, but I understand the frustration. I hope someday the art community will get rid of this kind of thinking.

Your work is such an inspiration!! :) I've been working with gouache for the past few months and have absolutely fallen in love with it. If you don't mind me asking, how do you usually set up your color palette? Do you plan ahead or just go for it?

Every piece I see from you blows me away. Your art is just so wonderful! I think I speak for everyone when I say that I'd love to see a series of process photos or maybe a process video from you one day. Please keep up the fantastic work and never stop painting.

Thanks for looking!  I would do some process stuff.....but I'm rather camera-shy, and can never bring myself to set it up!  Perhaps some day I'll go ahead and do it :)

Your work is amazing!

No, seriously-- I've been staring at it open-mouthed, going through the whole gallery. The gesture! Your choice in color! I'm blown away. I want to fall at your feet and call you sensei and beg you to teach me your strange, arcane lore.

(On a slightly more serious note, I'm saving you as a potential book cover artist. I've got a steampunk novel I'll be shopping soon.)
